NOTICE is hereby given, that in terms of the 38th section of the Act of the Governor and Legislative Council, 14 Victoria No. 41, an Election of an Assessor for Brisbane Ward, in the room of George Small, Esq., deceased, will be holden before the Aldermen and Assessors of the said Ward, at the Police Office, George-street, on Thursday, the 22nd day of May instant. The poll will commence at nine o'clock in the forenoon and close at four o'clock in the afternoon of the same day. By order of the Right Worshipful the Mayor,
