These buildings filled the block with frontages on both Castlereagh Street and Elizabeth Street. On the far left is Alfred Moss House at number 154 Castlereagh Street. Next to this is the ANZ Bank branch at number 156. Both of these buildings were later demolished. On the right is The St James Trust Building located at 158 to 162 Castlereagh (and number 185 Elizabeth Street Sydney). Built by Tate and Young between 1921-1924, it has distinctive arched windows was previously known as the Mirvac Trust and Manchester Unity Building.
