It was painted in one night in 1992 by Andrew Aiken with the assistance of Juilee Pryor and is an interpretation of the old master painting Saint John the Baptist by Leonardo da Vinci. It contains a quotation from the Roman poet Horace, 'Litera scripta manet' - 'the written word remains' [out of picture at right]. After being repeatedly tagged with Nazi emblems and racist graffiti, it was painted out. This sort of tagging became common on murals painted by Unmitigated Audacity Productions.
