Swellstone, water feature created by Australian artist Lucy Bleach in 1996 is in the centre of the image. Swellstone has text engraved on the lower part of the fountain, which is expected to purposely erode over time as a result of the constant stream of water running over it. The text itself creates a never-ending poem inspired by a local natural spring that once existed on the Pyrmont peninsula known as Tinkers Well. In the background is another 1996 artwork by Lucy Bleach called Outcrop Esculentus Spiralis. It was created using 12 pieces of Pyrmont sandstone engraved with botanical drawings of plants eaten by the local community over the past 200 years.
