Unique IDA-00505592SeriesMayor's InstructionsDate6th March 1891FormatVolume - HardcoverDescriptionInstructions from Mayor Sydney Burdekin: City Surveyor to be advised that the reports on all subjects for which I have called are to be furnished without delay, and whatever staff may be necessary must be employed. Required specially are reports with respect to: widening of the Randwick Road; the Garbage question; Storm waters at Woolloomooloo; Market Survey; Wholesale Fruit Markets site. Also required are the headings included in the City Surveyor's report of Expenditure in the different Wards, from the date of the Corporation Act, and whether Street wood blocking and day labour has been included in these returns. Additionally it is noted, in the City Surveyor's report, that the sum of £200 was expended in front of Mr Alderman S E Lees' house - on what authority was this money expended? Also, a considerable amount of money was expended in Brougham Street, North from the William Street crossing - on what authority was this spent?
