Letter. A Stall Holder, Belmore Markets, Sydney to the Mayor complaining on behalf of the stall holders about the employees at the New Markets. First the nightwatchman Jack Oshea bring 3 larrikins with him and then goes and get drunk and in the morning items have been stolen. When questioned he is abusive. The day man is just as bad with the Clerk of the Markets allowing a person named Old Dad to steal vegetables which are then sold by his wife. He asks the Mayor to make an investigation. Report from Hugh Patrick Clerk of the Markets denying the complaints against the two employees, saying Old Dad is useful clearing rubbish and he diligently enforces the By Laws.
