Description
Looking from Market Street, across York Street, towards the northern end of the QVB with Penfolds Minchinbury Sparkling Wines advertising signs on the corner. The Victorian awning is still in place with the steel cantilevered awning by Sydney Steel Company around the corner. On the roof can be seen the large central dome and some of the smaller domes. Part of a sequence of photographs taken to record alterations to the building in 1917-1919. The Queen Victoria Building was built in the Romanesque Revival style between 1893 and 1898.
