Description
This series consists of the master negative aperture cards of the City Engineer's Department general plans of survey. The plans include proposed remodelling and extension of roads, details and levels, naming and renaming, status etc. The plans include departmental file numbers, resolution of Council references, relevant signatures etc. This series consists of only part of the entire series of general plans of survey. In 1977, the Department arranged for the microfilming of about 12,000 plans and some plans in the sequence of general plans of survey were overlooked at that time. This series of aperture cards therefore completes the entire sequence of microfilmed plans of survey. The remaining aperture cards are found in CRS 99. The cards are arranged numerically by plan number which consists of an S5 prefix followed by a plan number and sheet number where numerous plans relate to the same street or job.
