Description
Report of the Finance Committee recommending the laying of an 18" stoneware drain from Liverpool St to Pier St to prevent the flooding of Kersey Lane. Appended: Letter from the Board of Water Supply and Sewerage in reply to previous correspondence stating that the principal complainants are the Fresh Food & Ice Co and forwarding plans; Memo from Richd W Richards, City Surveyor; Scale tracing for the proposed drainage of Kersey Lane showing streets, properties, drainage lines etc; Letter from H Paterson, Fresh Food and Ice Co, Harbour St to JD Young, Moore Park, re water lying in excavated hole; letter is pasted on letterhead of Water Supply and Sewerage Department with annotations to refer matter to City Council; Letter from Board of WSS; Memos from RW Richards; Scale tracing showing Harbour St from Liverpool St to Pier St, with cross streets Dixon St and Kersey Lane, gullies, pipes, drains or sewers (one private sewer laid by Mr Chadwick) and proposed pipe drain.
