Buildings from Anthony Hordern’s Haymarket department store are at far left, and the dome of Queen Victoria Building and clock tower of Sydney Town Hall can be seen in the distance. This photograph is from a series of glass plate negatives showing buildings in the Devonshire Street resumption area, before they were cleared to make way for Central Railway.
