In May 1910, Tiy Sun, the tenant at 63 Campbell Street, wrote to council because the front room flooded when it rained. Water came in through the door, the open fireplaces and the ceiling. The roof was still leaking in 1913. The buildings were demolished when Thomas Durack’s Newmarket Hotel on the right was rebuilt and extended.
