Pavlich and Harben were inducted into the Hall of Fame at the 1997 Mardi Gras Awards Night held in Sydney Town Hall. Both women were prominent activists. Harben previously held the position of the Mardi Gras president and Pavlich, the parade manager. Mardi Gras Awards Night recognises and honours the contributors to the festival season.
