The Lesbian Space Project was a collective formed in 1986 to raise funds for community grants for lesbian projects. During 1992 and 1993, multiple fundraisers were held to acquire a building in Sydney's inner west to be used as a community centre for lesbians. O'Donnell was an entrepreneur and supporter of the LGBTQ community in Sydney who owned gay and lesbian clubs across East Sydney, including influential clubs on Oxford Street and Newtown. Fullerton was a director of the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Board, chair of the Mardi Gras Festival committees, a lawyer and later became a judge.
