City Model - Town Hall House
Unique IDPC-000005Creator/ArchitectCreator: City model makersDescriptionOn Level 2 of Town Hall House, near the Service Centre, is a model of the City of Sydney. Built by the City's model makers in the 1980s the model is regularly updated. It gives people an understanding of what the city looks like and what developments are planned or underway. The model is on display 9am-5pm weekdays.
The buildings in the model are colour coded.
White: Pending approval and building envelopes
Black: Development approval
Rust red: Under construction
Light grey: existing development
Dark grey: Individual heritage buildings.
Aboriginal flags are placed on the model to represent significant places listed in the Barani Barrabugu (Yesterday/Tomorrow) walking tour booklet.
