It featuring a tree in the centre at Fitzroy Gardens that is painted in a surrealist style with the end of branches bearing a skull, bird or animal head. Surrounding the tree is a series of cartoon images and advertising logos with people and places of Kings Cross (Potts Point), including a Police Station, Library, and Male toilets.

The main slogans relate to theme of drug use and are Enjoy smack cold; Free Drugs for everyone. Other text includes: Repent; Hog; Nuclear War Ltd; Money lent; Avis; ABC: Volvo; How do you feel; Duty Free; McDonalds; Westfield; Chemist; Octopussy; Tattoo; TAB; Carousel; Diners Club; Pleasure Chest; Day and Night Bank ANZ; Alices; The Chook Bar; Australian; Sex; Your Texan Host; The Yankee Traders; Police; Fitzroy Gardens; Kross side story; Men.

Transposed in perspective rendering, it was painted on Zincalume sheet and attached to one of the concrete pylons of the railway overpass in the area between Sir John Young Crescent and Judge Street in Woolloomooloo.

The first set of renewable billboards were painted onto heavy litho paper with Collies offset inks which were then glued to the metal panels. (The idea was that these could be pasted over with new images on billboard paper every twelve months. Later the artists realised how costly and labour intensive the replacement would be, and how short-lived the adhesive durability of paper glued on expanding and contracting metal). As a consequence the first series of ink on paper billboards were removed in 1984, and a new set of six murals painted with enamel on metal were commissioned in 1984. The Go for It mural was part of this group.
