Possibly taken from the roof of building on Macquarie Street showing the Garden Place Gate (now Moreshead Fountain Gate) with statue of Lieutenant General Sir Richard Bourke KCB, at what is now Shakespeare Place at bottom right, memorial statue to Captain Arthur Phillip RN at centre left, and the Conservatorium of Music in distance at left. Ships and Fort Denison in Sydney Harbour.
