Their department store was the first in China and was modelled on the Anthony Horderns store in Sydney. Following the 1949 communist revolution it became the Peoples Department Store No. 2.Mar Sun Gee and Mar Leong Wah of Wing Sang, were respectively the gradfather and father of Gordon Mar.
