Volume 571/1 contained reports from a range of general and special-purpose committees, including: Finance, Lighting, Improvement, Works, Town Hall, Special Committee re proposal of Beggs subdivision of Underwood Estate, Committee re Advertisements, and Committee of the Whole. Topics covered by Committee reports were wide-ranging and covered many small matters within Paddington Council's jurisdiction. These included erection of gas lamps, repairing and metalling streets, staff matters, payment of accounts, floating a loan of £50,000, plans for and opening of a new Town Hall and Library, woodblocking Oxford Street, water supply improvements, kerbing, guttering, drainage, etc.

A loose "Notice to the Occupier", dated 1900, advising the necessity of observing "the strictest precautions for the maintenance of cleanliness and health conditions generally" and cautioning "against throwing loose vegetable matter, dead rats or other animals on vacant land, or in the lanes or streets of the Borough" is tucked in the pages of volume 571/1.

Volume 571/2 contained only reports for the Incinerator Committee. The reports included consideration of improvements for the garbage destructor and for the collection and disposal of garbage and street sweepings, discussion of a contract with Waverley Council for the incineration of rubbish, and staff matters including the pay of firemen at the incinerator.

Volume 571/3 contained only reports for the Town Hall Committee. The reports included improvements to the structure and internal fittings and furniture of the Town Hall, applications and charges for use of Town Hall, staff hours and duties.

Volume 571/4 contained reports for the Works Committee. The reports covered matters such as widening, extending, woodblocking, tarmetalling, asphalting and sweeping streets; kerbing, guttering and drainage; consideration of decorations for the celebration of the visit of the American Fleet and Barrack Hill Reserve for hire; erection of building known as 'Stadium'; discussion of building regulations; Brodie and other streets special inquiry (8 Feb 1909); a conference to be held between Paddington and the City to consider the question of boundaries; construction of urinals; building works in the quarry; extension of overhead electric mains to Five Ways for trams; consideration of building applications for subdivision of land, building on land or altering premises; the question of disposing of garbage as the tip ground has been exhausted; connecting the Chinese Gardens to the sewerage service; subdivision of Barcom Glen Estate and alignment of streets; approval of 'White City' plans (June 1913); closing of garbage tip and garbage deposited along face of old quarry (Oct 1913); an Interim Report re Garbage Disposal by Sanitary Inspector considering the option of punting refuse to sea (8 Dec 1913); a report by the Town Clerk on Municipal Electoral Rolls (19 Dec 1913); garbage receptacles for home use; tenders for a garbage destructor (Dec 1914); Lord Mayor's report on a tour of inspection (Apr 1918); Deep Dene Estate subdivision; trial system of scavenging where garbage is collected separately from street sweepings. Two loose pages briefly listing matters from 29 Jan 1923 to 9 Feb 1925 were inserted. A number of reports by the Health Committee were included in 1912, 1913 and 1915 discussing the appointment of an additional sanitary inspector, etc. The end of the volume included pasted typed reports of the Building Plan Committee which listed applications received and recommendations given (8 March 1920 to 18 Dec 1922).
