The estimates are arranged mostly by Council departments. The information recorded includes: expected expenditure for staff establishment, capital works, maintenance and repair of Council buildings and extraneous expenses such as the Royal Tour in 1954.

Occasionally the departmental staff establishment lists show the names of employees and the salaries paid to them.

The estimates from 1928 to 1960 are contained in CRS 42, Annual Reports. They can also be found prior to 1949 bound as part of CRS 29, Proceedings of Council.
