The artifacts were found when partitions and other components of the building were demolished. Of particular importance is a portion of the original carpet of the Capitol Theatre which became the basis of the carpet that was made to order for the refurbished building.

Other items in this series are rare copies of The Capitol News and Capitol Mazine Programme and other objects such as theatre ticket stubs, empty cigarette box, and cloth leaf taken form the original designed.

Heritage Architect Trevor Waters who was in charge of the restoration, considered the artifacts as evidence of the social history of the Capitol Theatre.
