The letter volume contains several folders labelled 'Tenders Shops Etc. QVMB', 'Lease of Whole Building', 'Advertising Spaces', 'Basement', 'Coffee Palace', 'Offers for Offices - Special', and 'Penny in the Slot Machines'. Each of these folders contains letters tendering for particular shops. Each shop was identified by a number, and some of the letters have the shop number annotated on them in red or blue ink. It also contains several copies of the Deed of Grant for the George Street Market site and further documents relating to the building completion of Queen Victoria Building markets.

The register volume itself contains a partially completed register of the tenders. The register contains the shop number (from 1 to 64), names and addresses of tenderers, type of business, the amount offered, and the name of the successful tender.
