The plans include information required to be reported on under the Local Government Act.

The first report in the series is titled Management Overview, the title changes to Management Plan in 1994 and 1995 and is called Corporate Plan from 1996.

The 1991 Management Overview, issued under Section 212 of the Local Government Act, 1919, outlines the need for development of a Corporate Plan, in conjunction with budgetary framework, to support corporate accountability and manage council functions and performance.
