The bridge was constructed for and the approaches by the Public Works Department of New South Wales. The general design and specification were prepared and the whole supervised on behalf of The Government of New South Wales by JJC Bradfield D SC (ENG.), ME, M Inst CE, M I E Aust Chief Engineer. Contractors for the design and construction of the main structure Dorman Long and Co Limited, Middlesbrough, England. Lawrence Ennis, OBE, Director of Construction for the Contractors. Ralph Freeman, M Inst CE, M AM SOC CE consulting and designing engineer for the Contractors. Sir John Burnet and Partners, Architects for the Contractors. The Honourable MA Davidson, MLA, Minister for Public Works. CW Mitchell, Director of Public Works.' The plaque gives details of all the participants in the design and construction of the bridge.
