One of a set of images taken to illustrate traffic patterns using sandbags to highlight traffic lanes around Taylor Square, Darlinghurst. Looking south east along Oxford Street from the Courthouse Hotel at Taylor Square, past the Sacred Heart church and then the Albury Hotel on the left. In the foreground, the large 'Time For A Capstan' illuminated sign, with a clock incorporated, is atop the Taylor Chambers at the corner of Flinders Street. Tram lines are shown along Oxford Street and turning right into Flinders Street. Shops on the far corner include Sip N Bite, a hamburger shop, watchmaker and a menswear tailor. Traffic on the roads include double decker buses, single decker buses, cars and commercial vehicles.
