Side street on the right, where the pedestrian is walking, is Gresham Street. Building on the left is occupied by the Departments of Education, Child Welfare, Agriculture and Water Conservation, which was built in the Edwardian Baroque architectural style. Between the two buildings is Loftus Street where a New South Wales Government Transport bus is waiting to exit onto Bridge Street. Cars on the street include Holdens, Volkswagen Kombi, Chevrolet, and Humber. The trees along the footpath have no leaves.
