Knox on Bowman is named after Edward Knox and his son Edward William Knox, who were the general managers of the Colonial Sugar Refinery (CSR). Originally, near to this site, molasses was stored in large tanks as part of the Colonial Sugar Refinery’s distilling and industrial chemical operations. The 11 hectare area previously used by the Colonial Sugar Refinery (CSR) on the northern tip of the Pyrmont peninsula was bought by Lend Lease in the 1990s, who created a residential and commercial property development known as Jacksons Landing, of which Knox on Bowman is a part.LanguageNo linguistic content - Not applicable (zxx)Author/creatorPhotographer: Mark Goddard
