Correspondence, primarily between the Metropolitan Water, Sewerage and Drainage Board and the Town Clerk, concerned notices to open roads and restore road surfaces, maintenance and repairs, testing water meters, hydrants, elections to the Water Board, water supply to garden plots and drinking fountains, accounts, sewer extensions, requests for information regarding cubic yards of concrete for curbing, guttering, road making and work carried out under contract. Other topics involved increases in water rates and rates reform, hire and sale of equipment, plans showing proposed new mains, state of the Water Board’s accounts and sustainability of the water supply and calls for a Royal Commission. Other documents included were a site report on the reservoir, a list of Second Constituency Aldermen, as at December 15, 1930 including Paddington, Waverly, Vaucluse, Randwick, Redfern and Woollahra Councils, transcript of remarks by Thomas Henley at a Special Meeting of the Water Board on May 8, 1931, Water Board reports on the Operations of the Board during the financial year 1930-31, 1931-32, 1932-33, 1933-34, Water Board Building Operations for the years ending June 30, 1932, December 31, 1932, June 30, 1933, and December 31, 1933, Water Board Return of Buildings Erected and Assessed together with cost of same and additions to old buildings for years ending June 1932, December 1932, June 1933, December 1933 and June 34.
