Newspaper reports of death: The body of a man named Maurice Casey was found in Darling Harbour by the water police on Sunday morning. [ref: The Sydney Mail and New South Wales Advertiser 10 August 1895 p 275]; Maurice Casey, who attended the picnic at Cabramatta tendered by Mr Alderman M. Harris, M.P. drank too much confusion to his enemies at the gathering, and. subsequent to his return, fell into the harbor and was drowned. The jury returned an open verdict.
