On the left hand side is the Mid-City Centre at number 420 to 422, with signage for State Bank of New South Wales and a duty free store. In the centre is The Block at number 424 to 430, housing the main Sydney store of Dymocks Booksellers. Built on the site of the Royal Hotel, this twelve storey building is in Inter-war Commercial Palazzo style, built 1926 to 1932 by architect FHB Wilton.
