It was painted over two nights in August 1991 by Andrew Aiken and Juilee Pryor with the help of others, notably Tony Spanos who provided the cherry picker crane used on the second night. This picture was taken nearly twenty years later when the mural had become a much loved icon of Newtown, and also shows vehicle traffic and road signs, and adjacent businesses including Crumpler (number 305) and King Street Chemist (number 293).
