It was painted in one night in 1992 by Andrew Aiken with the assistance of Juilee Pryor and is an interpretation of the old master painting Saint John the Baptist by Leonardo da Vinci. It contains a quotation from the Roman poet Horace, 'Litera scripta manet' - 'the written word remains.' After being repeatedly tagged with Nazi emblems and racist graffiti, it was painted out. Juilee Pryor's three small sons pose in front of the mural.
