Unique IDAG-0052DescriptionThis Committee was created as a result of a major reorganisation of the standing committees and various smaller committees of Council on 16 September 1985.

It replaced CA 55, Finance and Industrial Relations Committee, and the following smaller committees: the House Committee, the Equal Employment Opportunity Implementation Committee, the Budget Management Committee, the Town Hall Advisory Committee, the Computer Properties Record Design Committee, the Program Budgeting Advisory Committee, the Revenue Task Group, the Priority Projects Monitoring Team, the Committee to meet with the Glebe Administration Board regarding the use of Sydney Square, the Ad-Hoc Committee to examine and report on the legal services requirements of Council, and various committees responsible for interviewing applicants for senior management positions.

The Committee was responsible for monitoring the collection and use of Council's revenue, accepting tenders and quotations, making recommendations on industrial and staff matters, publicity, any subject outside the scope of any other standing committee, policies and regulations affecting the Sydney Town Hall and Sydney Square, equal employment opportunities, budget management, and legal services to Council.
