Parking, Traffic, Street Signs and Furniture Sub-Committee
Unique IDAG-0155DescriptionOn 13 October 1975, Council resolved to appoint four sub-committees of the City Development Committee. These were the Parking, Traffic, Street Signs and Furniture
Sub-Committee, the Martin Place Sub-Committee, the City Planning Review Sub-Committee, and the Publicity Board Sub-Committee.
The Parking, Traffic, Street Signs and Furniture Sub-Committee was responsible for recommending the type and scope of parking for the community, furniture and street signs for the City streets and public spaces; guidelines for implementation of parking codes; and representation on the Parking Advisory Committee.
The members of the sub-committee were Aldermen Walter Pascoe, Joan Pilone, Peter Leney and Nelson J Meers.
The first meeting was held on 3 November 1975. The sub-committees existed until 17 September 1977 when the standing committees were reorganised.
