The registers were created by the City Engineers Department I (AG-0005) in the period 01/06/1936 to 11/08/1981.

The agreements include road encroachments, pipes under the roadway, pavement lights, erection of bus stops, discharge of stormwater, tenancies of land, lighting, demolition of buildings and awnings, petrol tanks, lease of advertising hoardings, permission to discharge liquid sugar across footway, holes in kerbs, the lease of Camperdown Park Bowling Clubhouse, erection of bridges, awnings, and construction of tunnels.

Information is recorded on the location, particulars, date of agreement, deed packet number, Town Clerk's or City Engineer's file reference, resumption claim packet number, resolution of Council, sketch folio, and remarks.

The entries are arranged alphabetically by property location. The first volume contains five coloured plans relating to agreements cited in the register: Elizabeth Bay House Estate, Springfield Avenue, Grantham Estate, Tarpeian Subdivision, and resubdivision of Springfield Avenue. The second volume includes items photocopied from Proceedings of Council glued into the register, no plans accompany the information.

The second register supersedes maintenance of the initial register, some entries have been transferred.

It is not clear when the register began but it appears to have been around the 1930s or 1940s so the start date has been taken from the creation of the City Engineer's Department on 1 June 1936.
