The registers were created by the following agencies:
- City Engineer and City Surveyors Department II (AG-0088) in the period 12/10/1926 to 29/08/1928
- City Engineering and Building Surveyors Department AG-0061 in the period 31/08/1928 to 01/06/1936
- City Engineers Department I (AG-0005) in the period 01/06/1936 to 28/09/1981.

The two bound registers contain handwritten entries. Both volumes are identical in format, entries are arranged alphabetically and provide information on the street, situation, purpose of obtaining the property (eg splay, acquisition), office plan number and date, date of Sydney City Council approval, linen plan date, description filing date, gazettal of approval or authority, plan returned number, date, and person received by, gazettal date, and file reference numbers and remarks.Relationship summaryRELATED TO: Construction and repair of bridges, overpasses and tunnels AY-0049 (09/01/1928 to 28/09/1981)
