DescriptionThis is a series of black and white photographic prints of the Queen Victoria Building taken in 1898. They were created by the City Architect and Building Surveyors Department I (AG-0078).

The photographs were taken by Austin Cockerton and show interior and exterior views of the building. The prints were placed in an album which was presented to the Architect, George McRae, on the occasion of the official opening of the building on 21 July 1898, by the Phippard Brothers, who built the building. The album, containing 15 prints, was donated by the children of George McRae.
