They were created by the Properties Committee I (AG-0054) in the period 28/06/1979 to 07/07/1983.

Matters discussed include rent increases, repairs, parking and other facilities, behavior of fellow tenants and Council inspectors, and Council's policy on the sale of properties. Properties discussed include Kelburn Hall, Elizabeth Bay; Johanna O'Dea Court Camperdown; the Strickland Buildings in Chippendale; John Byrne Court, Glebe; Bull'n'Bush, Woolloomooloo; Glendon Court building; the Alexandra Dwellings, and properties in Edgely and Pawley Streets, Surry Hills, Station Street Newtown, Pyrmont bridge Road, Pyrmont, and henry Avenue and Jones Street Ultimo.

The meetings were presided over by the Chairman of the Properties Committee, and were held irregularly. They were attended by the property Officer, his assistant, the Controller of Administration, a Committee Clerk and the representatives of the Tenants' Union.
