Unique IDAS-0444Date1st January 1949Date qualifierexactFormatRegistered FileDescriptionThis series consists of copies of official correspondence that were maintained by the District Officer of Waterloo Town Hall after Waterloo Municipal Council was absorbed by the Municipal Council of Sydney in 1949.
There were District Offices at each of the Town Halls of the absorbed Councils - Alexandria, Darlington, Erskineville, Glebe, Newtown, Paddington, Redfern, and Waterloo. These administered activities that took place at the Town Halls or were associated with them, such as rental of the Halls by outside organisations, use as immunisation clinics etc.
Most of the files in this series were copies of Town Clerk's Correspondence Files (CRS 34) that are in archival custody. Only a single file on diphtheria immunisation (No. 144/49) did not have such an counterpart, and so was retained. All other files, being essentially duplicates, were destroyed.
