The sheets are a mix of original drawings and process copies (such as heliographs and blueprints). They are of various sizes, and some are coloured and or annotated.

The records were received from the Mitchell Library, where they appear to have been transferred some time after 1949, most likely by the City of Sydney. They had been stored folded, but have now been unfolded and rolled.

The record items in this series are not listed in Tabularium (and therefore are not found in Archives Investigator), but are available in the ALAN database of building and development plans. At present ALAN is available for on-line research only at the City of Sydney Archives. However printed search results, including a complete list of all items in this series, can be provided on request.
