They were created by Paddington Municipal Council AG-0070 (11/06/1913 to 31/12/1948) and the City Architect and Building Surveyors Department II AG-0016 (01/01/1949 to 04/12/1953).

Registers of applications to construct or modify buildings. Information recorded against each application includes: registration number, date the application was lodged; by whom lodged; address, name of owner; description of the building or alterations; location of the building; estimated cost of the building work, and fees payable and paid. Some sections of the registers are annotated to show the date the application was approved or refused.
