During 1993 the first records were created as simple lists of forthcoming cultural events in the City (concerts, theatre, festivals and street events etc) as a means of putting together information useful for answering frequent questions asked by the public, especially by telephone. This practice continued until the end of 1994. The information sheets are in box 1 of this series

From 19 June 1995 a new format was adopted incorporating the City Life title and intended for dustruibution to the public as a free information bulletin, through the Council's One Stop Shop on Level 2 of Town Hall House, and other information points. City Life was isued weekly.
