A member for Council Committees: Works (1901-1917); Health and By-Laws (1901-1902, 1904-1905, 1907-1917 and its Vice-Chairman in 1907-1917); Labour Advisory (1901); Health and Recreation (1903); Staff and Labour (1903); Electric Lighting (1903-1912 and 1916); Parks and Recreations (1903); Finance (1905-1913); Queen Victoria Market Building Special Committee (1910-1911). He was the City Member on the Board of Water Supply and Sewerage, 1904-1917. He died on 10 May 1917.
