At the lower right is the Ship Inn hotel on the corner of Alfred and Pitt Streets. Next to it at number 7 Alfred Street is the Tavern Inn and the Quay Fish And Chip supply shop. At number 9 is Sorrento's Restaurant, number 11 and 13 is a sandwich, grill and hamburger shop, number 15 is AA Marks cigar shop, number 17 is Georges Cafe, number 19 is Pattinsons Chemist, number 21 is a restaurant and number 23-25 on the corner with Arbitration Street is a fruit and vegetable shop. Behind this group of shops is Grimes Parking garage on Arbitration Street. Above the Grimes Parking sign is the Goldsborough Mort Company building which has advertising on its roofline referring to 'McCallums Perfection Scotch Whisky'.
