The Station was extended in 1881 to supply the Woollahra Reservoir. With completion of the Upper Nepean Scheme in 1886, the original supply for Crown Street, the Botany Swamps, was superseded by the supply from Potts Hill. In 1889 a new pumping station was constructed by the newly constituted Board of Water Supply and Sewerage (todays Water Board). This station was erected at the corner of Riley and Reservoir Streets (see Sydney Water Heritage Item WP0001).LanguageEnglish (eng)
