Chief Officer of Department of Mines states that Mr J.B. Dearin says that the jetty at Druitt Street is in the same position it was 29 years ago when it came into his possession, that it was there at least 13 years before that but was not built by him. He further states that the overlapping has been caused by an alteration in the alignment of the street proclaimed 2 years ago. Any alteration he may be called on to make may render him liable to damages by his tenant. Since he offers to give up his land at expiration of his lease to Messrs.
