William Hopkins, 339 Castlereagh St South, questions having £6:16:7 deducted from the amount owed to him on completion of a contract for kerbing and guttering in Kent St. W. Poole, the District Surveyor, claims that Hopkins failed to complete the contract, Kent St being left in "a most disgraceful & slovenly condition". He feels that Hopkins was fortunate not to have been charged more for the removal of refuse soil along 700 ft. of kerb and laying 8 ft of kerbing and guttering. After hearing Hopkins & Poole's conflicting statements, Council's decision is that the case should be heard before the Committee.
