Unsigned, Sydney to the City Surveyor complaining about a nuisance caused by ventilating fans from the Herald Office discharging odours on to passersby on the street. Report of Inspector of Nuisances attached. He had inspected the Basement of the Office and the fans do discharge as described. Mr Samuel Cook, General Manager said as they are mainly used at night he could not see how they could be a nuisance. Note. City Surveyor that there is cause for complaint but should action be taken as the letter is unsigned. Note.
