Superintendent of Footways states that the greater portion of this street was recently put in order but a section was left because the gateway entrances to No's 14, 16 and 18 were in poor condition. Cost for tar paving by contract would be £9/15/-, by reusing old material and day labour would be £7/15/- and the cost for the gateways £10/10/-. The gateways should be repaired at owners cost. City Surveyor suggests the use of day labour at £7/15/- and that notices should be served on the owners for gateway entrances.
