It is notable for its uniform arched windows on the upper level and the signwriting on the facades. Twin chimney stacks are visible just above the roofline. On the street in front, there is a man in a suit and a homburg hat leaning against an awning support, and a well-dressed woman. A hansom cab is to the left and there is a horse and cart further along the road. Tram lines are set into the wood-blocked road surface. There was a diverse array of occupants in these buildings, including a boot store, pawnbroker, hairdresser, tattooist, refreshment rooms, bird dealer, tobacconist, clothier and a dispensary. The buildings were offered for sale by auction on 27 May 1908.
