Twin chimney stacks are visible just above the roofline. On the street in front, there is a man in a suit and a homburg hat leaning against an awning support, and a well-dressed woman. A hansom cab is to the left and there is a horse and cart further along the road. Tram lines are set into the wood-blocked road surface. There was a diverse array of occupants in these buildings, including a boot store, pawnbroker, hairdresser, tattooist, refreshment rooms, bird dealer, tobacconist, clothier and a dispensary. The buildings were offered for sale by auction on 27 May 1908.
